About NoirKit
NoirKit is a free Instagram username generator: you pick a vibe, add a keyword if you want one, and it produces handle ideas that follow Instagram's public username rules. No account, no credits, no waiting.
How it works
The generator combines style-specific word lists (dark, aesthetic, cute, gaming, tech, professional and more) with prefix, suffix and separator patterns, then filters every result against Instagram's format rules before showing it:
- 1–30 characters
- Letters, periods and underscores only
- No trailing period and no two periods in a row
- Must contain at least one letter
- No duplicates within a batch
Generation uses a seeded, deterministic algorithm, which is why a batch with the same inputs and seed repeats exactly — and why fresh batches change when you hit regenerate.
What NoirKit does not do: it never checks whether a handle is actually free on Instagram. Availability changes constantly and can't be verified responsibly from a static tool, so every suggestion is presented as an idea — search it on Instagram before you claim it.
Privacy notice
NoirKit is a static website. There is no backend, no database and no account system.
- Keywords and initials you type never leave your device — generation happens entirely in your browser.
- Favorites are stored in your browser's local storage on this device only. Clearing site data removes them.
- Analytics: none are installed. No cookies are set, no tracking pixels load, no third-party scripts run.
- Hosting logs: the hosting provider records standard server logs (IP, user agent, requested path) for security and reliability, as most hosts do.
- If analytics or advertising are ever added, they will be disclosed on this page first.
Who makes this
